Cocktail Shake Up

A Cocktail Contest and Tasting Event in one!



CONTESTANTS will have 3 minutes to showcase their bartending flair as they prepare their unique cocktail creations for our panel of judges and a room full of fans. In the spirit of the hit show "Chopped," judges will share their feedback and choose the ultimate winner whose cocktail will be featured exclusively on the Reds Cocktail Menu for December 2022. PRIZES will also be awarded for Fan Favorites in taste, presentation, and overall flair.

  • Contestants apply via online application:
  • Contestants must utilize one of three featured spirits (Grey Goose Vodka, Hendricks Gin, or Great Jones Bourbon) in their signature cocktail, and may include other additional spirits if they are currently available at Reds (list provided when applying).
  • Reds will provide all the spirits required to prepare the cocktails on event day, along with some mixers and garnishes if pre-arranged and a part of our normal inventory.
  • Contestants are asked to incorporate a December/holiday theme into their cocktail since that is when the cocktail will be featured.
  • The LIVE event is limited to 10 contestants, so applications will be reviewed by a panel of judges and their top ten will be invited to compete in the LIVE event.
  • Deadline for contestants to submit their application is 5pm on October 30th. The top ten contestants chosen to compete in the LIVE event on Nov. 10th will be notified by 11/1/22.

ATTENDEES will enjoy an array of Reds hors d'oeuvres while cheering on each of the contestants and sampling each of the cocktails presented. DJ Bill Hardy will be on hand to add some musical flair and to emcee the event. Our panel of judges will include local celebrity chef and two time “Chopped” winner, Ric Orlando, along with at least two other qualified cocktail aficionados. Attendees will vote for their favorites in three categories. Must be 21 yrs. or older to attend.
